Annual Conference of the Romanian Association of Penal Sciences (Bucharest, May 17, 2019)

The echoes of the Annual Conference of the Romanian Association of Penal Sciences - the Romanian National Group to the AIDP/IAPL "Current Issues of the Criminal Law at National and International Level" organized on May 17, 2019 with the support of the Romanian-American University at its headquarters from Bucharest, Romania and as with every occasion (see, for example, the last Conference of the Romanian Association of Penal Sciences - the Romanian National Group to the AIDP/IAPL “Multidisciplinary Approach in the Field of Prevention and Combating Cybercrime” of 17.11.2018 organized at the Parliament Palace, from Bucharest, Romania and where have also participated presenting the article „Remote digital searchers and extra-territorial digital investigations” university professor Ph.D. John VERVAELE, President of the AIDP / IAPL and the Honorary President of the AIDP/IAPL university professor Ph.D. José Luis DE LA CUESTA, with the theme "Information Society and penal law "), this most recent and important scientific event has enjoyed the presence of the President of the AIDP / IAPL university professor Ph.D. John VERVAELE and the Honorary President of AIDP / IAPL university professor Ph.D.  José Luis DE LA CUESTA.

On this occasion, university professor Ph.D. John VERVAELE lectured on the topic of "Legal and Fair Use of Criminal Evidence in the EU from a European Human Rights Perspective," and university professor Ph.D. José Luis DE CUESTTA presented the article with the title “Victims and the Criminal Justice System in the XXIst century”.

This scientific event also enjoyed the presence of leading personalities of Romanian law, such as: university professor Ph.D. Tudorel TOADER (rector of "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iasi, first vice president of ARSP), university professor Ph.D. Constantin DUVAC – president of the Romanian Association of Penal Sciences (ARSP) and vice-dean of the Law Faculty – Romanian-American University, university professor Ph.D. dr.h.c. On this occasion, there were discussed important issues that troubles the science of modern criminal law, but also those called to apply the criminal law, such as the following issues: criminal probation, victimology, the role of philosophy in the elaboration of legal norms, criminal policy elements, the investigation of corruption, the reintegration social criminals, the psychopathological approach of criminals, all the themes included in the program going to be published in the Penal Law Review and the Romanian Criminal Law Review!
