The International Association of Penal Law (AIDP) in cooperation with the Romanian Association of Penal Sciences, the Legal Research Institute of the Romanian Academy of Sciences and the Ecological University of Bucharest are organizing the Second AIDP World Conference on “The Protection of the Environment through Criminal Law” in Bucharest, Romania, from May 18th to May 20th 2016.

On August 10th, 2014 passed away University Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. George Antoniu, honorary scientific director of the "Acad. Andrei Rădulescu" Legal Research Institute of the Romanian Academy, founding member and president of the Romanian Association of Criminal Sciences and of the Romanian National Group affiliated to the International Association of Penal Law, founder and director of the Criminal Law Review.

A historical record of the Association (1926-2014) has just been published in RIDP in the newest issue of the RIDP - RIDP 86 (2015 /3-4) 723 ff.

The Vice-President of the International Association of Penal Law, Eugenio Raúl Zaffaroni took oath on February 15th, 2016 as a judge at the Interamerican Court of Human Rights at the official opening  of the Interamerican judicial year in San José, Costa Rica.
