Summer School on ‘Understanding and Combatting Corruption’ (Siracusa, Italy - 18-22 July 2022)

The AIDP would like to bring to your attention the Summer School on ‘Understanding and Combatting Corruption - A Global Perspective’, that the Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights will organize between Monday, July 18th and Friday, July 22nd. The Summer School will take place in presence at the headquarters of the Siracusa Institute, located in Siracusa, Italy.

The Summer School will consist of 6 daily sessions spread over 5 days, for a total of 20 academic contact hours. The daily sessions will consist of a combination of presentations from experts and participants on the reading material which will be provided in advance to the Summer School; they will be programmed approximately between h. 9.30 and 13.30, CET. The afternoons will be dedicated to study groups, self-study and social activities; they will be programmed approximately between h. 14.30 and 17.30, CET.

Participants who attend successfully the Summer School will receive the Certificate of Specialization of the Siracusa International Institute.

ELIGIBILITY

  • The Summer School targets mainly recent law graduates, practitioners, academics and students from across the globe, who are pursuing higher education or careers in the fields of international criminal law and international relations, with a focus on anti-corruption issues.
  • To be eligible for the Summer School, participants should have a university degree in law, or other relevant education and experience.
  • The working language will be English.

REGISTRATION COSTS

The registration for the Summer School is open to all interested participants. The application form should be filled out online at the Institute’s website: https://www.siracusainstitute.org/app/summer-school-2022/ The registration deadline is June 15, 2022.
The registration cost is € 750 and includes academic material, 5 lunches, 1 Ice-breaking Social Event and 1 Farewell Reception. The dinner in Noto is not included.
All registered participants will receive a confirmation letter in due course, with further information on methods of payment and relevant deadlines.
