Your contribution to the project on "Assessing the scope and effectiveness of innovative legal approaches to money laundering investigations and asset recovery"

Dear member of the AIDP,

The Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights is conducting a research project on “Assessing the scope and effectiveness of innovative legal approaches to money laundering investigations and asset recovery” in partnership with the EU AML/CFT Global Facility.

This comparative research is investigating the legal approaches which ease the burden of proof of, on the one hand, money laundering offences and, on the other hand, the illicit origin of goods in confiscation procedures. For this purpose, the Siracusa Institute is reaching out to prosecutors, judges and other criminal law experts all around the world and asking them to complete the datasheet at the link below with information on their national systems.
