The Romanian Group of the International Association of Penal Law (AIDP) has the honor to invite you to attend the International Colloquim "Old and New Criminal Offences: AI Systems as Instruments and Victims", that will take place between June 13 and 17, 2023, in Bucharest, Romania. The Portuguese and the Spanish groups of the AIDP have published - with the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra as a publisher - a collective work on the EPPO titled “Procuradoria europeia e criminalidade económico-financeira / La fiscalía europea ante la delincuencia económica y financiera”.

The University of Malaga, in collaboration with the Criminal Law Department and the Malaga Section of the Andalusian Inter-University Institute of Criminology, has announced the second edition of the "Dr. José Luis Díez Ripollés" International Award. The aim of this competition is to encourage research in legal and social sciences; the best work on criminal law, criminology or criminal policy - disciplines on which Professor Díez-Ripollés based his academic career – will be awarded €3,000 and will be published by Tirant Lo Blanch.

We are glad to announce the 22nd Specialization Course in International Criminal Law for Young Penalists ‘M. Cherif Bassiouni’ on “75 Years: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and The Genocide Convention” that the Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights is organizing in presence in Siracusa, Italy, between Monday, June 12, and Saturday, June 17, 2023; online participation will also be allowed.

After a decades-long and wonderful career, John Vervaele, President of the AIDP, will retire from Utrecht University.
